Vegetables that possess negative calories are cabbage; lettuce and broccoli. Now, these foods are fibrous and they have a lot of fibre in them. So the reason why these are good when it comes to dieting is that they take long to digest. If they take long to digest that means they require more energy to digest and it is this quality that makes them bur out fats. They also give the feeling of being full, something that will inevitably make you eat way less than usual.
Simply eating foods of this nature in whatever state can have an opposite effect. So instead of the foods breaking down fat you might actually experience the build up thereof. Don’t eat them with salt or salad or food dressings. Instead eat them in their fresh state, raw and unhampered.
Eating this type of food is definitely not enough for the reason stated above. But regardless of the fact that you can have too much acid in your system it is important to note that these foods don’t contain all the essential nutrients that your body needs to function. You will have to supplement your diet with proteins and vitamins from other sources.
And whilst these foods may not contain a lot of calories i wouldn’t suggest that you stick to a diet like this. Calories are important and as much as you might want to avoid them it is healthy to eat calorie containing foods. Calories are crucial to the body’s normal functions and without them your diet will be greatly unbalanced.
If you’re investing in negative calorie food as a means to lose weight I suggest that you exercise as well. There is a common myth that these foods are enough to keep your body in shape. But that’s not the truth. You will have to exercise often to reap the most benefit from a negative calorie diet.
