Stott Pilates For Back Pain Relief

If you’ve never heard of Stott Pilates, you may want to to look into it in order to find some back pain relief. Back pain can be dangerous to your overall health.

Youll find that more and more qualified Chiropractors recommend Stott Pilates for healing their patients sore back woes. Practicing Pilates correctly and consistently will go a great distance in eliminating your back pain altogether.

What is it about Stott Pilates that allows it to alleviate those structural imbalances that have a tendency to come on you as you age. It’s the core ab work combined with a sense of profound relaxation.

It doesn’t really matter whether it is bad postural habits, instability in your pelvis, muscle imbalance, or just a general ill feeling and lack of core muscular support, a regular practice regimen of Stott Pilates can help give you a dynamic sense of back pain relief. In some cases, it can actually cure your back woes.

When you go to your first Pilates class you will learn how to develop an acute awareness to your own body. Many people are surprised that they are so unaware of the inside of their own bodies. This develops an understanding and an ability to feel everything inside of you (in other words, all your component parts) and feel how it all connects.

Misalignment of your core structure leads to a myriad of other physical problems. One part becomes out of alignment which leads to the next part of the anatomy chain to become misaligned and so on. The problem is compensation.

The pelvis is a common source of initial misalignment. We all have a tendency to either tuck up or tilt back our tailbones. And generally we are completely unaware of it. This develops a serious weakness on one whole side of your body, which in turn tightens the other side of your body. Why? You guessed it, compensation.

The method that Stott Pilates uses to correct these imbalances and compensations is strengthening the core postural muscular system. This gently flows everything back to proper alignment.

It isnt always easy to see how these muscles can have such a profound affect on your health, but with regular practice, youll easily see it and fell it for yourself. Dont give up on yourself just because you hurt right now. Try a few classes of Stott Pilates and see how quickly you can recover from that nagging back pain.

Malibu Pilates Chair Guide

If you are looking around for a great piece of exercise equipment, consider the Malibu Pilates Chair. Like most machines of this type, the MPC is getting major attention from the lose weight crowd. And there is a good reason for this. Technology like this isn’t just about your life easier, it’s about getting things done well. If you are concerned about weight loss, or even just staying in shape, you are going to need the correct strategy for doing so. You need to learn to work smarter, not just harder.

Compared to the Pilates Reformer, which really is the top of the pile of quality exercise equipment, the Malibu Pilates Chair is much smaller and easy to manage. You’ll find it so lightweight that moving it out of the way is a snap. Like the PR it has no problem giving you a full body work out. But what it won’t do is cost you an arm and a leg. At just under $350, it is very cost effective. The Reformer is more in the two to three thousand dollar range.

The MPC is a great starting point for your entry into the world of Pilates exercise. While a rank beginner may want to start slow, you can quickly get up to speed with this machine. It is compact and is easily stored if you need to get it out of the way in a hurry.

The thing about using a device like the Malibu chair is that you are the one doing the work that the chair makes so easy for you. It’s designed to offer you ease of use and before long you will see the pounds of fat literally melting off your body before your very eyes.

I still remember my fat guy days. These Pilates machines were not so readily available to the common person. I had to spend hour upon grueling hour in the health club with all the gym rats and muscle heads. If I had one of these babies I could have been able to lose 20 pounds in 30 days…no problem.

So as not to sounds too rosy about it let me just say that it does have minor drawbacks. Even though it comes with a 20 minute workout on the free DVD (I prefer the Total Dream Body Sculpting workout for a full hour, but that’s just me. It’s also included on the DVD), and a free wall chart and custom diet plan. It doesn’t offer the complete range of motion that a studio model offers. But hey, that’s why the price is so low.

Is the Pilates Reformer The Best Pilates Machine?

If you have every taken a Pilates class you have no doubt used one of the Pilates machines, or perhaps some other type of Pilates equipment. You will find a wide variety of these devices available on the internet today. Whether you’re looking at the Pilates Reformer or the Malibu Pilates Chair, you’ll find each is a complete workout center.

I don’t care which “brand name” of Pilates you practice, whether it’s Winsor Pilates, Malibu Pilates, or Stott Pilates, there is a good chance you’ve used one of these machines. Maybe you have even bought one for your own home gym. If you don’t have one but thought about buying one…keep reading.

What I am going to do now is give a little comparison for three of the best Pilates machines out there: the Pilates Reformer, the Pilates Power Gym, and the Malibu Pilates Chair. These are, by far, the three most popular pieces of exercise equipment.

Let us start with the big Kahuna of Pilates equipment, the Pilates Reformer.

Pilates Reformer Review

In a class by itself, the Pilates Reformer is THE best in Pilates machines, bar none. It has shown itself to consistently be the exercise equipment of choice used by the world’s elite of Pilates instructors. I know the name sounds like a torture device straight from the Spanish Inquisition, but it is a piece of high quality equipment.

As you probably know, the modern form of exercise known as Pilates is one that emphasizes strengthening the core postural muscles of the torso. It was designed and developed by Joe Pilates in the early 20th century. What is amazing is that the story goes that Joe came up with the basic idea of Pilates while in political prison. What he wanted was a holistic system of body development that improved the body’s health by working the abdominal musculature.

The Pilates Reformer allows you to sit in its carriage on a padded seat and pull and push yourself along the track using the patented pulley and spring system. This way you can build yourself up with a steady and progressive pace, increasing your workload with time.

Pilates Power Gym

If you are looking for a lightweight workout machine the Pilates Power Gym should be right up your alley. With its padded handles and straps and carbon steel structure ( just like the Reformer) it is simple and easy to use. It is fully adjustable for every level of fitness, including yours. At about half the size of the Pilates Reformer, the PPG makes sculpting and toning of you hips, calves, butt and back, not to mention firming up and adding muscle to your arms and abs, a simple process. You won’t be able to help checking yourself out in your mirror to see a more fit and healthy new you!

Malibu Pilates Chair Review

The Malibu Pilates chair is probably the most compact Pilates machine available today. At under $350, it might just be the most affordable of the larger pieces of Pilates equipment. The new dog on the market, the MPC is a convenient and effective method of weight loss and control. Along with the free wall chart and diet plan, using the Malibu chair makes losing weight a breeze. I know it may seem odd to think of working out while sitting on your bum, you can actually get an excellent work out on this machine.

Whatever Pilates machine you decide to buy, you just can’t go wrong…as long as you actually use it to lose weight and not as a clothes line. Be prepared for a whole new and wonderful you!
